<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily form a print with an appropriate message. <P>SOLUTION: A print reference image is formed by an image processing part based on an object image to be printed, then, the formed image is transferred to a user through a personal computer communication. The user inputs a handwritten message on the print reference image. Regarding how to input the handwritten message, the message is handwritten in a message blank form with the printed print reference image, then, read by a scanner. Alternatively, the handwritten message is inputted in the print reference image displayed on a display by a mouse or a light pen. The inputted handwritten message data are transferred to a print finishing laboratory. In the print finishing laboratory, the position of the message image is specified on the print reference image, then, the print reference image is synthesized with the message image based on the specified position information.
