<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a writing instrument holder which enables a fitting position of a writing instrument to be selectively changed, and which prevents the existence of a writing instrument from being a hindrance to the carrying and storage of an adherend such as a notebook, or the opening/closing and use of the adherend. <P>SOLUTION: This writing instrument holder, which is detachably attached to the notebook etc. as the adherend, has a sandwiching member HS for mounting the notebook in a sandwiching state; the sandwiching member HS comprises a sandwiching part body H1 and a sandwiching plate H2 which is cut out from the inside of the sandwiching part body H1; the sandwiching plate H2 is connected to the sandwiching part body H1 by means of a connecting member H3; and an end on the extension of the sandwiching member HS is equipped with a holding member H4 which is curved along the line of the shape of the outer periphery of the writing instrument.
