PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL display device in which a display performance deterioration of an organic EL element due to water invading from the interface of a protecting film and a substrate is prevented. SOLUTION: The organic EL element is pinched by two layers of protecting films (11-a, b) of which main components are Si and N, and the two layers of the protecting films mutually contact at the pattern end part.
