PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk changer device capable of making its thickness (depth) thin and preventing the loading of an unexpected small-diameter or irregular-shape disk on a holding means. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a folder plate 380 for holding a disk so as to set a disk surface to be roughly vertical to the depth direction of the device, a hood 310 covering the folder plate 380 and a slot 311 through which the disk ejected from the folder plate 380 passes, a shutter 360 for opening/closing the slot 311, and a shutter detection sensor for detecting the opening/closing of the shutter 360. When the disk 1 is ejected from the folder plate 380, the shutter 311 is opened. When the closing of the shutter 311 is not detected by the shutter detection sensor after the ejection, an operation thereafter is stopped. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
