PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a button depressing device capable of surely displaying a button, even when, what is called, prior selection is made. SOLUTION: In this button depressing device 20 in which a button depressing switch 32 for selecting an article is provided operably to an automatic vending machine main body 1a (main body cabinet 2) accommodating articles, the button depressing device 32 is provided with a first light source 327 to be driven when the article is can be dispensed by feeding money more than the sales price of an article, and a second light source 328 which is driven when the button depressing switch 32 is depressed before the money more than the sales price of the article is fed and presents color different from that of the first light source 327, while respective outgoing light beams can be passed through.
