PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate arrangement of a rod forming a connection means connecting to a mechanical brake and to operate a brake pedal forming a second brake operation element in a good state. SOLUTION: A master cylinder unit 12 is constituted by a hydraulic master cylinder 22; a knocker 23 having a base end 23a pivotally mounted to a cylinder hole opening side of a cylinder body 19 and a piston pushing part 23b for pushing a piston 20 at an intermediate part; and an equalizer 24, having a base end pivotally mounted to a distal end of the knocker 23, in which a connection means 11a comprising a rod connected to a mechanical brake 9 is connected to a distal end and a connection means 11b comprising a rod connected to a second brake operation element 6 is connected to an intermediate part respectively. A liquid introduction port 28 for introducing a liquid pressure generated by the first brake operation element 4 into a cylinder hole through a hydraulic pipe 10b and a pivot mounting part 19c for pivotally mounting a base end 23a of the knocker 23 are provided on the same side of the cylinder body 19.
