PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a condensed dampening water composition for printing and a dampening water composition for printing which solve problems on fire fighting, safety and hygiene caused by the use of conventional isopropyl alcohol, facilitate regulation of a supply of dampening water in a printing operation and enable elimination of a stain of printed matter. SOLUTION: The condensed dampening water composition for printing or the dampening water composition for printing contains polyoxypropylene methyl glucoside expressed by formula (1).
