A wheelbarrow with a pair of grip units one on the end of each of the handles (11'), the grip units being hinged or otherwise rotatable so that the user does not have to change their grasp of the grip units when raising the barrow to tip out its load. Each grip unit comprises a pair of holding half bars (80, 81) with a trapped shaft (32), which has a threaded end (87) which is attached to the wheelbarrow handle by nuts (88, 89).
