ROLLING BEARING

A rolling bearing that is operable at high-speed, that has a long lifetime, that is maintenance-free, and in which lubrication oil can be stably supplied. These are achieved only by using grease that is sealed in the bearing. A rolling bearing has an inner ring (1), an outer ring (2), and rolling bodies (3) interposed between raceway surfaces (1a, 2a) of the inner and outer rings (1, 2). Of the inner ring (1) and the outer ring (2) that are raceway rings, the non-rotating fixed side raceway ring (2) has a step surface (2b), continuing to the raceway surface (2a), in the direction separating from the rolling bodies (3). A gap forming piece (7) is placed in the bearing, and fore-end of the gap forming piece (7) faces the step surface (2b) with a gap in between and forms a flow path (14) between its peripheral surface and the fixed side raceway ring (2). A grease storage (9) communicating with the flow path (14) is provided. The gap (15) between the step surface (2b) and the fore-end (7a) of the gap forming piece (7) can hold oil constantly and has dimensions by which base oil can be supplied to the raceway surface (2a) through volume expansion of the base oil generated by the rotation of the bearing and through airflow near the raceway surface (2a).
