A method of sterilizing a hemopurifier, or hemopurifier package, that reduces the amount of extract occurring due to deterioration during exposure of permselective separation membrane material to radiation rays or electron beams or with the passage of time thereafter, and that hence is highly safe in the use in hemopurification therapy; and a process for producing the same. There is provided a method of hemopurifier sterilization characterized in that in the sterilization of hemopurifier whose main part consists of substantially dry permselective separation membranes through exposure to radiation rays and/or electron beams, the sterilization is carried out while the hemopurifier together with a deoxidizer and a humidity conditioner, or together with a deoxidizer having the potency of moisture emission is hermetically enclosed in a packaging bag.
