PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform an authorization process by displaying a print requester's authentication request at the user-set periodic timing of user authentication.

SOLUTION: The timing of a confirmation display at which an authentication confirmation screen is displayed in a display part for periodic user authentication is set in a printer driver 203, and if the set periodic timing of user authentication coincides with a print request from an application, the authentication confirmation screen is periodically displayed in the display part.
