<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an occupant restriction device capable of eliminating trouble of work by preventing a strap from becoming obstacle for a mounting work of an interior member to a vehicle body side and sufficiently ensuring a gap between the vehicle body side and the interior member in deployment of a curtain air bag. <P>SOLUTION: The occupant restriction device is provided with a first engagement part 8 engaged with any one of a vehicle body 2 and the interior member 3 and retaining the engagement state even in deployment of the air bag 4 for protecting the occupant by being deployed from the gap of these into a cabin at collision; a clip part 5 having a second engagement part 9 engaged with the other member and disengaged in deployment of the air bag; a storage part 7 provided on the other member of the vehicle body and the interior member and having a storage space at the inside; and an anchor part 6 having one end connected to the clip part and the other end stored in the storage space through an opening 7d provided on the storage part and engageable with the storage part in deployment of the air bag.
