PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video equipment connecting apparatus capable of easily carrying out settings of connection between a video signal output device and a video signal input device and settings of connection between particular video equipment such as a monitor and the video signal output device. SOLUTION: Output terminals for outputting a video signal include first and second output terminals, switching means capable of connecting an input terminal to the output terminals include a first switching means capable of connecting the input terminal to the first output terminal, and a second switching means capable of connecting the input terminal to the second output terminal, when only the input terminal is set by setting information given from an input means, a control means 130 controls the first switching means to connect the input terminal set by the setting information to the first output terminal, and when the input terminal and the second output terminal are set by the setting information given from the input means, the control means 130 controls the second switching means to connect the input terminal set by the setting information to the second output terminal set by the setting information.
