PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording and reproducing apparatus capable of readily carrying out dynamic image recording and static image recording operations by one-hand operations without the need for complicated operations and reducing camera-shake and wrong operations in the case of particularly recording a static image. SOLUTION: A body (1) of the image recording and reproducing apparatus includes a photographing lens (4), a static image recording button (6) for recording the static image is arranged on the same side (2) of the body to which the photographing lens is arranged, and a dynamic image recording button (12) for recording the dynamic image is arranged to a side (3) opposite to the side (2).
