PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmitter or the like capable of stabilizing an estimate value of an antenna arrival direction by reducing the effect of a passing loss so as to prevent deterioration in communication wireless characteristics and increase the C/N of a calibration circuit without increasing the passing loss. SOLUTION: A digital signal processing section 101 applies digital modulation, spread, code multiplexing and synchronization processing or the like to a transmission signal. Multiplex/distribution circuits 103-1 to 103-n distribute the transmission signal into a plurality of paths. Amplifier sections 104-1 to 104-n amplify part of the distributed transmission signals. A calibration wireless circuit 107 obtains a phase difference or an amplitude difference among input signals received by each of antenna elements 105-1 to 105-n in the case of realizing an adaptive array antenna system and executes calibration by instructing the digital signal processing section 101 to carry out amplitude and phase control of the plurality of antenna elements 105-1 to 105-n.
