PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in a conventional hot water supply device that a reset switch provided on a remote control or the like must be pressed and reset every time when hot water filling is ended, and a user's operation is complicated. SOLUTION: This hot water supply device comprises, as the solution means, a heater, a heat exchanger 2 heated by the heater, a water quantity adjusting valve 19 adjusting the flow rate of water carried in a hot water supply passage, a hot water filling means 26 filling a set water quantity, a forced hot water filling stopping means 40 fully closing the adjusting valve 19 after completion of hot water filling to stop the hot water filling, a determination means 30 opening the adjusting valve 19 after stopping the hot water filling, and determining the presence/absence of heating to the heater, and a forced water quantity releasing means 29 releasing the forced hot water filling stopping action.
