PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine the presence or absence of malfunction of a flowmeter and to prevent interruption in gas filling even when the malfunction of the flowmeter is found. SOLUTION: A control device 16 of this gas supply device 11 determines the presence or absence of malfunction of the flowmeter 26, and determines fill quantity to a fuel tank 13 on the basis of a flow rate measured by the flowmeter 26, when it is determined that the flowmeter 26 is normal. When the malfunction of the flowmeter 26 is determined, the flow rate is operated on the basis of pressure difference between two points and temperature, and the fill quantity is calculated on the basis of the operation of flow rate. Thus the fill quantity can be measured even when the flowmeter 26 is failed during gas filling, and the gas filling can be continued without stop. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
