PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide superior reliability by exhibiting sufficient bearing yield strength, even when a rotary shaft is deformed, with a simple and inexpensive structure, in a scroll compressor. SOLUTION: This scroll compressor is constituted by storing a compression mechanism part, the rotary shaft and an electric motor in a sealed vessel; and has a revolving scroll 200 having a sliding bearing 210 and the rotary shaft having a crank pin eccentrically arranged in an upper end part. The rotary shaft is connected to the compression mechanism part by inserting the crank pin of the upper end part into the sliding bearing 210. A high pressure refrigerant such as R 410A is used as fluid compressed by the compression mechanism part, and a tapered part 210b expansively opening to the tip side is arranged on the whole periphery of an end part inner surface on one side of the sliding bearing 210.
