PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ventilation opening member without hindering an appearance on a building by calking construction, by sweeping off defects, considering problems on the appearance of a wall surface, since a state of performing calking construction on an outer wall surface can be seen from an external part, while it is difficult to surely apply a using calking material to the whole periphery, when sealing clearance by bringing a ventilation hood body into close contact with the outer wall surface, in a ventilation opening penetrating through an outer wall of the building. SOLUTION: A horizontal peripheral edge part 4 is arranged inside a vertical peripheral edge part 2 of the hood body 1 formed in an optional shape, and the calking material 10 is installed in an interval part 5 formed of these horizontal peripheral edge part and vertical peripheral edge part. An inwardly bent outside peripheral edge part 3 is arranged in the vertical peripheral edge part of the hood body formed in an optional shape. The horizontal peripheral edge part formed longer than the outside peripheral edge part is arranged by putting the interval part inside this outside peripheral edge part.
