PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the adjustment of the over-hang length of a contact member from the leading end of a nose portion without requiring a tool, and to prevent a malfunction by directly transmitting the movement of the contact member to a start control means. SOLUTION: A device for adjusting a driving depth of a power nailing machine comprises: a guide hole 20 which is arranged on the side surface portion of a nose portion 3 and is formed so as to be nearly parallel with a discharge port 15; a nearly straight contact rod 22 which is inserted into the guide hole 20, held by the guide hole 20 so as to slide and rotate in the guide hole 20, connected to the start control means at its upper end side, and screwed into the contact member 6 at its lower end side; and an operation dial 23 which is arranged so as to be slidably inserted by the contact rod 22, to integratedly rotate together with the contact rod 22, and to rotate but not to vertically move with respect to the nose portion 3. The over-hang length of the contact member 6 in the direction toward the tip end of the nose portion 3 is adjusted by turning the contact rod 22 via the operation dial 23.
