<p>Dialkyl phosphorochloridothionates are produced by (a) chlorinating a dialkyl phosphorothioic acid in a chlorinating zone to obtain a soln. of a dialkyl phosphorochloridothionate, (b) passing this soln. through a thin film evaporator at 90-120 degrees C, and (c) condensing the vaporised fraction, which contains the dialkyl phosphorochloridothionate and recovering the product. The process, which is pref. carried out continuously is economic, gives high yields, and has reduced risk of explosion. The products are intermediates for insecticides.</p> |
