Worm heat exchanger has hollow worm grooves consisting of peripherally closed, seamless hollow profiles, which are wounded onto and fastened to the worm axle. Used e.g. in the prepn. and processing of plastics materials. Worm heat exchangers with a very strong construction can be produced at lower costs. The heat exchanger can resist considerable forces, and can be economically heated with steam. |
