1,225,886. Antiskid brake systems. BENDIX CORP. 18 Nov., 1969 [16 Dec., 1968], No. 56405/69. Heading F2F. A vehicle antiskid system including a brake pressure controller 26 responsive to a control channel signal triggered by an electrical signal proportional to rotational deceleration of a controlled wheel has a circuit provided to prevent any control signal due to false triggering, caused for example by wheel bounce, from activating the controller 26, the circuit comprising means such as an accelerameter-operated switch 10 responsive to vertical acceleration forces on the controlled wheel for generating an inhibiting signal to inhibit said control signal. A switch 24 ganged to the brake pedal is open until the pedal is depressed and a gate 25 is inhibited from passing signals from a control channel 20. If the acceleration response switch 10 is opened by the wheel leaving the road surface, trigger inputs to monostables 14, 16 receive power and are energized by the flip-flop 17 output set and reset lines 17a, 17b only one being energized at a time to provide a pulse to OR gate 19 and thus to an inhibiting terminal of gate 25.
|
