<p>Compds. of formula where A is a diazo component residue, B is (substd) phenylene or naphthylene group, R' is H or a (substd.) alkyl or aryl group, R2 and R3 are CN, -CO-OR4 or -CO-NR5R5' or together form -CO-NR5-CO-, R4 is a (substd.) alkyl or aryl group, and R5 and R5' are H or (substd.) alkyl and/or aryl groups, and where the molecule contains n COOH or sulphonic acid groups, are prepared in known way by diazotising an amine A-NH2 and coupling the diazonium compounds with The dyes are difficulty soluble in water. The dyes are used to dye (semi)synthetic, hydrophobic, high-molecular organic substances from aqs. suspensions; they are esp. used for polyesters, cellulose 2.5- and tri-acetate, polyamides and polyolefines. The dyes are fast to light, heat-fixing, sublimation, (sea) water, washing, persipiration, solvents and drycleaning, grease, rubbing, O3, waste gases, Cl2 and the reducing agents used in dyeing wool. They can be used in "permanent-press" processes.</p> |
