Anode for metal electrodeposition, partic. controlled Pb-coatings, e.g. 10-30 mu m thick, of sliding surfaces, esp. friction bearings and pistons, consists of Pb dispersion-hardened with Cu, Mn, Ni or Te. Pref. Cu content is 0.01-13 (0.1-10, partic. 1-5) %; Mn content is 0.01-8 (0.1-2, partic. 0.1-0.5) %; Ni content is 0.03-7 (0.2-5, partic. 0.5-3) % and Te content is 0.05-10 (0.2-7, partic. 1-5) %.
