The chair sections (3-6), preferably the seat and backrest, form the actual transfer system and have preferably flat upper surfaces (14) which are movable, preferably in the horizontal direction. These sections are supported (11) in parallel. The movable surfaces are formed by conveyor belts. The chair frame (1) is a movable one wheels and at least two pivotally connected chair sections are mounted on it. The angle of these sections can be altered to convert the chair into a bed.
