<p>The moulding process is used for works of art, as in 7008560, in which a mould is formed by dipping a model into bath of (natural) rubber latex; the mould peeled off and supported in a granular medium such as sand, and a moulding compsn. poured in contg. MgO, MgCl2, opt. a filler such as dolomite, and a fluorinated binder resin such as PTFE. The resuling mouldings have improved shock-resistance.</p> |
