A dental instrument (10) has a concave central section (12a) to facilitate end-to-end rotation during use. First and second ends (20a, 20b) of the instrument (10) extend axially from the central section (12a). At least one of the ends (20a, 20b) interfaces with a dental device such as a mirror or tip (24a, 24b). The ends (20a, 20b) are configured for a smooth transition from adjacent end to the respective device.
