A urea-resistant stainless steel is used. An exhaust gas system for heavy vehicles includes an SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) catalyst which uses urea to remove nitrogen oxides. The system at least partially comprises a stainless steel material comprising up to 0.02 wt.% carbon, 0.1-0.8 wt.% silicon, 0.5-3 wt.% manganese, up to 0.02 wt.% phosphorous, up to 0.01 wt.% sulfur, 24-26 wt.% chromium, 21-23 wt.% nickel, 1.5-3 wt.% molybdenum and 0.5 tungsten (Mo + 0.5W), up to 0.8 wt.% copper, up to 0.03 wt.% aluminium, up to 0.02 wt.% boron, 0.05-0.2 wt.% nitrogen and the balance iron and impurities. - |
