A leakage detection system (10) is used which has a leakage detector (11) for detecting leakage of liquid stored in a tank (1) on the basis of a variation in the liquid level. The leakage detector (11) comprises a liquid inlet/outlet section (12) for the liquid in the tank (1) to flow in and out, a flow rate measuring section (13) for measuring the flow rate of the liquid in the leakage detector (11), a liquid storage section (14) for storing liquid which flows in from the liquid inlet/outlet section (12), the leakage detector (11) having its lower end removably locked to a bottom plate (4) and its upper end vertically movably supported at the measuring port (5) of a top plate (2).
