The proposed method for producing a polymeric insulator, which contains a rod and a solid-cast casing mate of insulating material, consists in applying a layer of binding material to the rod surface that is previously treated for providing roughness, exposing the rod, together with the coating, to heat treatment for a specified time period, placing the rod in a mold, molding the casing by introducing polymeric material in the mold under pressure, and cooling the mold with the insulator according to a specified cooling mode.
