NARROW-BAND OPTICAL FILTER

摘要

The proposed narrow-band optical filter contains a single-mode fiber lightguide with the polished surface area and a diffraction lattice with parameters that correspond to the mode of the fiber lightguide. The diffraction lattice contains slots, the width of which varies according to a sine function, and provides the periodical variation of optical radiation phase. For the purpose to produce the rectangular spectral characteristic of the image or the bandwidth of optical radiation, the point that corresponds to the minimal or maximal amplitude of the sine function describing the variation of the width of the slots of the diffraction lattice corresponds to the central point of the polished surface area of the fiber waveguide.
