METHOD FOR INCREASING EFFICACY OF EXTRACTING ADRENOCORTICOTROPIC HORMONE

The method for increasing efficacy of extracting adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) from the pituitary glands of the slaughtered animals consisted in the loading the minced material into the maceration tank followed by extraction of the hormone. The area of the actual contact between the extractant and the raw material increases due to the fluidized state of extraction process. With this aim, the tank is rotated with the angular speed that is optimal for specific raw material and the extant of its mincing. For example, ACTH extraction from the pituitary glands with the size of the particles of the minced raw material amounting to 0.5 mm requires the angular speed of rotation of 355-365 rpm.
