METHOD FOR SURGICAL TREATMENT OF SEVERE CARDIAC ACHALASIA

The method for the surgical treatment of severe cardiac achalasia comprises the longitudinal extramucosal esophagocardiomyotomy with fundoplasty. Following extramucosal esophagocardiomyotomy, the serous-muscular triangle flap is cut in the anterior wall of cardia. The size of the flap is 2 x 2.5 cm.The apex of the flap faces the lower angle of extramucosal esophagocardiomyotomy, while the base of the flap is directed towards the line connecting the cardiac notch of the stomach with His' angle.
