A valved fitting is provided which includes a one-piece body (32) having a first end (38) and a second end (54) spaced from the first end, with a fluid passage extending through the body (32) between the first and second ends (38, 54). A valve seat (157) is defined on the body (32) within the fluid passage, and a valve assembly (64) is removably disposed within the fluid passage for controlling flow through the fluid passage. The valve assembly (64) includes a valve head (68) that is engageable with the valve seat (157) in sealable relation therewith. The valve assembly (64) is removable, thereby allowing the valve assembly to be replaced when needed. The valved fitting of the invention is particularly useful on a service valve block for an air conditioning system.
