<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To immediately and surely delete a print job. <P>SOLUTION: A host computer comprises a request transmission means for transmitting a deletion request when the deletion is requested, a request response reception means for receiving the response to the deletion request, and a job completion processing means that stops transmission of print data of the print job and transmits a job completion command when receiving the response to the deletion request. A printer comprises a data search means for searching a cut line of a page in the print data during the printing operation when receiving the deletion request, a request response transmission means for stopping the printing operation and for transmitting the response to the deletion request when finding the cut line of the page, and a job deletion means that transmits a deletion completion notice after skipping the reading of the print data received at the stopping of the printing operation or later until it receives the job completion command. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
