摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an output from being interrupted by the protection function of a voltage boosting converter during a temporary overload, and ensuring the maximum output within the capacity range of a power source. <P>SOLUTION: A bidirectional DC-DC converter (the voltage boosting converter) 4 is provided, and boosts a DC supplied from a battery 5. The boosted DC is converted into an AC by an inverter 3, and outputted to a load. A load current Iddc is detected by a current detector 15, and inputted to an output limitation quantity determining section 16. An output voltage value for starting a limitation of an output from the inverter is determined by the determining section 16 in response to the distance of the load current Iddc from a limitation starting current value Ia to a limited current value Ib. An inverter driver 17 implements a switching operation of an FET in the inverter 3, and limits the output in accordance with the output voltage value.
