摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more suitably control temperature of an exhaust emission control device to a target temperature even when the target temperature at a time of temperature rise of the exhaust emission control device is changed in an exhaust emission control system for an internal combustion engine raising temperature of the exhaust emission control device by performing secondary fuel injection at a time of regeneration of exhaust emission control capacity of the exhaust emission control device provided in an exhaust gas passage. <P>SOLUTION: Target temperature rise energy quantity which is energy quantity necessary for raising temperature of the exhaust emission control device to target temperature is calculated (S104-S106) and secondary fuel injection quantity under exhaust emission control device temperature rise control is calculated (S107) by converting calculated target temperature rise energy quantity into fuel injection quantity in secondary fuel injection when secondary fuel injection is performed to raise temperature of the exhaust emission control device provided in the exhaust gas passage to the target gas passage. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
