<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packet relaying apparatus capable of coping with increase/decrease in the number of packet IDs while executing band control by maintaining a band to which an output band corresponding to the packet ID is respectively set. <P>SOLUTION: The packet relaying apparatus controls the output band of the packet, includes: a packet identification section 14 for providing a packet identifier for denoting the attribute of the packet received by an input port 11; a counter summing section 22 for respectively adding a prescribed sum to a count corresponding to each packet identifier for a prescribed period; and a counter subtraction section 23 for discriminating whether or not the packet corresponding to the packet identifier is to be output to an output port 13 on the basis of the count and subtracting a size of the packet from the count when the counter summing section discriminates that the packet is output to the output port 13, and is configured such that the period and the sum are revised when the number of the packet identifiers is increased/decreased. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
