PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inspect the operation of the whole system even in a state wherein the Internet can not be used through a telephone line before a house is handed over. SOLUTION: Disclosed is the operation inspecting method for the in-house electric equipment remote control system S capable of remotely controlling lighting fittings 43 and 44 in the house according to a remote control signal sent from a mobile communication terminal through the Internet 40. Instead of the mobile communication terminal, a personal computer 60 for inspection is used to send a web site request signal for making a request to provide a web site to an in-house information power distribution device 20 or send a remote control signal to the in-house information power distribution device 20 based on user's operation on the web site, thereby inspecting whether the device operates normally. Further, abnormality notice mail is sent from the in-house information power distribution device 20 to inspect whether the personal computer device 60 for inspection receives the abnormality notice mail.
