PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for correcting a delayed reproduction start during waiting for stabilization of a mechanical operation in a recording medium controller in which data reading is accompanied by the mechanical operation. SOLUTION: An address correction part 123 stores the reading and writing addresses of a buffer memory part 119 when reproduction is stopped, corrects an address so as to read reproduction data subsequent to the stored reading address without waiting for the rotational stability of a disk 110 when the reproduction is resumed, and quickly starts the output of subsequent data from the buffer memory part 119.
