PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable anyone to analyze the motion of a feed mechanism of flexible components for feeding an object (load) through an experience/intuition-independent input of minimum essential parameters and less computational complexity with possibly the same analysis accuracy as by a finite element method producing an exact solution. SOLUTION: A natural frequency f is computed from input parameters of Young's modulus E of columnar structures 11, the second moment of area I of the columnar structures 11, the length L of the columnar structures 11, the interval B between the columnar structures 11, the mass m of a load and the mass m<SB>b</SB>of a stage 9 for carrying the feed object 10. An equivalent mass J<SB>aLL</SB>is given by an expression, J<SB>aLL</SB>=mL<SP>2</SP>+m<SB>a</SB>L<SB>a</SB><SP>2</SP>+m<SB>a</SB>L<SB>a</SB><SP>2</SP>, omitting the centroidal moment of inertia J<SB>0</SB>of the feed object 10, the centroidal moment of inertia J<SB>b</SB>of the stage 9 and the centroidal moment of inertia J<SB>a</SB>of the columnar structures 11 from conventionally required input parameters, and the equivalent mass J<SB>aLL</SB>is used in computing the feed mechanism natural frequency f.
