PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly transmit an intrusion abnormality signal when there is a destructive action to a guide light as an external display device. SOLUTION: A security system 1 has a monitoring device 3 for monitoring an abnormal state by various sensors installed in a monitoring area, the guide light 4 for displaying occurrence of an abnormal state monitored by the monitoring device 3 to the outside of the monitoring area, and a monitoring center 5 for receiving an abnormality signal from the monitoring device 3. The guide light 4 is provided with a destruction detecting part 13 for outputting a destruction detection signal to the monitoring device 3 when detecting the destruction of the guide light 4. The monitoring device 3 transmits to the monitoring center 5 an intrusion abnormality signal indicating that an intruder enters the monitoring area when the destruction detecting part 13 of the guide light 4 inputs the destruction detection signal.
