PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a warm air heater having a heat insulating structure that can make frame body shape compact while preventing temperature rise in the frame body. SOLUTION: A blast passage 4 is provided allowing communication between a warm air blowoff port 2 in the front face of the frame body, and an indoor convection fan 3 at the back face of the frame body. A burner 5 is installed on a bottom plate 4a of the blast passage 4, and the burner 5, a combustion chamber 6 and a heat exchanger 7 are arranged in the blast passage 4. A space A is formed between a placing base 1a and the bottom plate 4a of the blast passage 4, and a fan motor 10a of a combustion fan 10 is disposed in the space A. The depth and lateral dimensions of the frame body 1 can thereby be made compact. Radiation heat from the burner 5 is shielded by the bottom plate 4a and a side plate of the blast passage 4, so that the placing base 1a, and a fuel supply means 8 and the combustion fan 10 arranged in the frame body 1 are not directly heated to prevent the temperature rise of the floor face and the interior of the frame body.
