PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a swing door which can be kept open at any position without opening a hole on a floor or a wall, mounting a metal fitting or a magnet nor inserting a wedge-shaped stopper into a slot under the door. SOLUTION: A rubber ball 1 made of highly resilient material for generating strong friction against a contacting object is stored in a space 2 provided inside of the swing door. The ball is managed to go up and down freely from outside with a shaft 4 connected through a string 3 or the like. By putting the ball 1 down at any position on the floor, the door can stop at the position despite an attempt to open/shut to either direction because the ball does not roll due to the strong friction generated between the ball and the floor as well as the ball and the inner side of the door and the resiliency of the ball to return to the original shape.
