PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid jet device which permits the retention of the amount of interference at a designed value even if it is a simple structure. SOLUTION: The liquid jet device has a liquid jet head elevating and lowering means 32 to regulate the distance between a wiping member 23 and a liquid jet head 30, a basic position storage means 72 to store the basic position of the liquid jet head 30 and a correction value storage means 72 to store a correction value showing a difference between the designed amount of interference as a designed amount of interference between the liquid jet head 30 and the wiping member 23 at the time when the liquid jet head 30 is set at the basic position and the actually measured amount of interference between the liquid jet head 30 and the wiping member 23 based on actual measurement at the time when the liquid jet head 30 is set at the basic position.
