PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite reverse osmosis membrane having high salt suppression performance and high permeation flow flux and not reducing the permeation flow flux even by treating a raw liquid containing a contamination organic substance. SOLUTION: In this composite reverse osmosis membrane, a thin membrane containing an aromatic polyamide resin obtained by performing a condensation reaction of an aromatic polyfunctional amine component and a polyfunctional acid component is formed on a surface of a porous polysulfone support membrane. The thin membrane has a protection layer containing an electrically neutral organic compound and/or an organic compound such as electrically neutral polyvinyl alcohol on the surface. In the thin membrane, an infrared absorption intensity ratio of the membrane material is limited to a constant range. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
