<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head part protection air bag capable of thickly inflating by quickly deploying prescribed juxtaposed cells from an upstream side of gas for inflation of a gas supply passage part to a downstream side. <P>SOLUTION: This air bag 20 is folded and stored into an upper edge side of a window of a vehicle. The air bag 20 is deployed and inflated downward from the upper edge side of the window at the time of inflow of the gas for inflation to cover the vehicle inside of the window. In the air bag 20, the plurality of juxtaposed cells 28 to be deployed and inflated by making the gas for inflation flow are provided side by side on a lower part of the gas supply passage part 25 for making the gas for inflation flow along the longitudinal direction. In the cell 32 to be quickly deployed and inflated of the juxtaposed cells 28, a section part 44 on the upstream side of the gas flowing in the gas supply passage part 25 of front and rear section parts 43 is disposed by arranging an upper end 44a extending upward from a lower side edge part 37b to form an inflow port 32a between the upper end 44a and a distal end 47a of a lateral part 47 in a section part 45 on the downstream side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
