<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To turn an electronic device on and off as a first and a second case are opened and closed and to achieve space savings by preventing a power switch from being exposed to the outside whether the first and the second case are open or closed. <P>SOLUTION: A tilt mechanism 13 is provided within a hinge part 3 that rotatably connects the first case 1 and the second case 2 together. The tilt mechanism 13 is provided with a rotary switch 14 that outputs a switch signal when the first and second cases 1, 2 open by a predetermined angle or more. In this way the electronic device can be turned on and off as the first and second cases 1, 2 are opened and closed, and because the rotary switch 14 is not exposed to the outside whether the first and second cases 1, 2 are open or closed, there is no fear of making errors in operating the rotary switch 14.
