PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method in which more various hydrogen sources are used, more mild purification treatment is typically done, and hydrogen treatment process, especially for selective desulfurization of olefin fraction (typically gasoline) is done successfully. SOLUTION: The selective hydrodesulfurization method of olefin gasoline is provided in which hydrogen supplement and/or the CO content in total raw oil is not more than 50 ppmv, and COx (=CO+1/2CO<SB>2</SB>) content is over 120 ppmv in the entrance of a catalyst reactor. The supply source of the hydrogen supplement can be diversified, and/or hydrogen purification treatment can be simplified, and/or purge of the hydrogen from a hydrodesulfurization device can be decreased.
